Angola and Brazil cooperation in industrial projects

The Brazilian authorities will discuss with the Angolan government policy development and industrial production, the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, said today in Luanda, the chairman of the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI).
Reginaldo Braga Arcuri, who started today a working visit to Angola for two days, aims to assess and discuss with the government, the strategies for implementing that program, so that both governments can decide the best chance of cooperation.
According Reginaldo Braga Arcuri, President Lula da Silva launched a year ago, in Brazil, an industrial policy that provides for the inclusion of programs in conjunction with productive Africa.
“We want to cooperation focusing on productive integration between our economies, (…) and we will work to decide in which areas we can be most useful,” explained.
The president of ABDI vai during this exploratory trip, discuss the possible areas of cooperation and prepare a schedule of future Brazilian technical missions to the country and vice versa.
He recalled that his country already working in this type of program with some countries of Mercosur (Southern Common Market), particularly Venezuela and Cuba.
Angola and Brazil maintain political and economic ties that date back to the conquest of independence on 11 November 1975.
